Animated text
without a render farm

Pick an effect, type a word and record a looping clip that is ready for Reels, TikTok or Shorts. The animation is drawn on a canvas and encoded on your device — the server only sends the page.

1080 × 1080 Ghost 30 fps

Everything is drawn with the Canvas 2D API and captured through MediaRecorder. No frame is ever uploaded.

Eight effects, one click each

  • Ghost Glowing letters that float and breathe while mist drifts upward.
  • Glitch RGB split, horizontal slices and scanlines — the classic broken-signal look.
  • Neon Hollow tube letters with a flickering halo, like a sign on a wet street.
  • Fire Molten gradient with embers rising off the baseline.
  • Typewriter Letters appear one by one behind a blinking cursor.
  • Wave A slow sine wave rolls through the word, column by column.
  • Chrome shine A metallic highlight sweeps across brushed metal letters.
  • Beat bounce The word pulses on a beat with a subtle tilt — made for music clips.

How to make a text animation video

  1. 1 · Type and pick

Enter up to four short lines. Long sentences shrink the type automatically so the words stay inside the frame — two or three words per line works best for Reels.

  2. 2 · Choose an effect and a format

Ghost and Glitch are the two most requested looks right now. Square (1080 × 1080) is the default here; switch to Story when you need the 1080 × 1920 vertical frame that Reels, TikTok and Shorts expect.

  3. 3 · Record and download

Press Generate video. The page plays the animation once and records it at 30 fps, then offers the file for download. Recording is real time, so a six second clip takes six seconds.

Why it runs in the browser

Rendering video server side needs ffmpeg, a queue and a lot of CPU per request. A modern browser already has everything required: the Canvas 2D API draws the frames, canvas.captureStream() exposes them as a media stream and MediaRecorder encodes that stream. The result is instant, free to run and private — your text is never transmitted, so nothing can leak into a log.

Using the clip in an editor

  • CapCut / Premiere / DaVinci — import the WebM directly, or convert to MP4 if the version you use is older. Both formats keep the alpha-free black background.
  • Blend modes — for Ghost and Neon, set the clip to Screen or Add on top of footage; the black background disappears and only the glow remains.
  • Looping — pick a length that matches your audio bar. A 4 second clip loops cleanly against a 120 BPM two-bar edit.

Compatibility

Chrome / Edge / OperaWebM (VP9)Smallest file, best quality per bit

If the download button stays disabled, your browser has no MediaRecorder support. Update the browser or use the colour image generator, which exports still PNG files.

Using your own typeface

If none of the eleven built-in fonts has the right shape, upload your own file — TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 up to 8 MB. The page reads it with the FontFace API and registers it in memory, so the canvas can draw with it immediately. The file is never transmitted: close the tab and it is gone. That also means you can use a font you already own on your machine without handing it to a third-party service.

  • Pick a bold or black weight. Effects that build on thick strokes — Ghost, Neon, Fire — look weak with a hairline or light cut.
  • Missing glyphs fall back. If your font has no character for something you typed, only that character falls back to a generic sans-serif.
  • Variable fonts are drawn at their default instance inside the canvas; the weight slider of the font itself has no effect here.
  • Licensing is yours. Because the file stays on your device, you are responsible for having the right to use it in whatever you publish.

Questions

Is the video rendered on a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser: the animation is drawn on a Canvas element and recorded with the MediaRecorder API. Your text never leaves the device, and the server only serves this page.

What format do I get?

Browsers that support VP9 or VP8 produce a WebM file. Safari records MP4 instead. Both are accepted by TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and most video editors.

Why does generating take as long as the video?

Recording is real time: the page has to play the animation once so the browser can capture the frames. A six second clip takes about six seconds.

Which size should I pick?

Story (1080 × 1920) for Reels, TikTok and Stories. Square (1080 × 1080) for feed posts. Wide (1920 × 1080) for YouTube intros and lower thirds.

Can I use the video commercially?

Yes. The clip is your own content and may be published or used in client work. See the Terms of Service for the full statement.

Can I upload my own font?

Yes. Choose a TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 file up to 8 MB. It is registered with the browser FontFace API and kept in memory for this tab only — the file is never uploaded, so a licensed typeface stays on your machine.

Why do some effects look thin with a light font?

Ghost, Neon and Fire grow the outline and add a bloom around the glyph edges. With a thin or light weight there is not enough edge to work with, so pick a bold, black or condensed display face instead.
