Terms of Service
Short version: use the generator freely, keep what you make, do not abuse the server, and do not use the tool to break the law.
1. Acceptance
By using IGFont you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. The terms apply to every visitor, whether or not you download an image.
2. The service
IGFont is a free online tool that renders text into PNG images on the server. No account is required. The service is provided as-is, without any guarantee of availability, and may be changed, limited or discontinued at any time.
3. Your images
You keep all rights to the text you submit and to the images you generate. You may use the exported PNG for personal and commercial purposes — social media, client work, print, advertising, merchandise, video and applications — without attribution and without a royalty.
You are responsible for what the text says and for how the image is used. Do not use the generator to produce material that infringes copyright or trademark, that impersonates a person or organisation, that harasses, defames, or that is unlawful in the place where it is published.
4. Font licensing
The typefaces bundled with the generator are released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits commercial use, modification and embedding. Rendering text with these fonts does not transfer the font software to you; the exported PNG is your image, the font file is not. You may not extract the font files from this site and redistribute them as your own product.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- send automated, scripted or bulk requests that place unreasonable load on the server;
- attempt to gain access to the server, the cache directory, the source code or other users’ data;
- mirror, resell, rebrand or wrap the generator as your own service without written permission;
- remove or hide advertising in a way that interferes with the site’s operation;
- use the tool to create content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, incites violence, or promotes hatred against a group of people.
We may block access, without notice, when these rules are broken. Rate limiting may apply to all visitors to keep the service available.
6. Our content
The design, layout, written guides, code and style definitions on this site are the property of the operator and are protected by copyright. You may quote short excerpts with a link back; you may not republish whole pages.
7. Messages you send us
When you use the contact form you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Do not send confidential material. Suggestions you send may be used to improve the tool without obligation to compensate you.
8. Third-party services and advertising
The site displays advertising delivered by Google AdSense and loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites reached through an ad or a link.
9. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that rendering will be uninterrupted, error free, or that a specific character, script or emoji will be supported.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profit, loss of data, or reputational harm arising from the use of the site or from the inability to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service, which is zero.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the operator against claims arising from content you submitted or images you published, including claims of copyright or trademark infringement.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. The revision date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new text.
13. Severability and governing law
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. These terms are governed by the law applicable at the operator’s place of business, without regard to conflict of law rules, and without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected] or the contact form.
